What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Spruce Lake?
The seasonal Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining Pinebrook's grounds in support and enhancement of guest experience and external esthetics. The Groundskeeper is a member of the Facilities team.
Prerequisites:
- Must affirm, live and model Pinebrook mission, vision, statement of faith and core values
- Conducts him/herself in a manner that is above reproach.
- Must be responsible, industrious, hospitable, and enthusiastic.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Accountability: Accountable to Facilities Manager
Qualifications
- Knowledge and skills associated with landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Confidence operating a riding mower, chainsaws, weed whackers and other landscaping tools
- Desire to contribute to the ministry of hospitality.
Physical Requirements: Physically fit: able to stand and walk for long periods of time, lift 70 lbs., climb ladders, perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, shoulders and to bend, kneel and stretch.
Essential Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with the Facilities Director to set priorities.
- Regular and routine maintenance of lawns and landscaping
- Maintain firewood inventory.
- Collect and secure all outdoor trash.
- Washing and/ or painting of exterior environments.
- Active and supportive member of the facility team.
- Assist other staff members as needed and assigned.
Other Responsibilities
- Duties assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in weekly staff prayer meetings.
- Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings, trainings or enrichment dates
