Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to work independently with minimal direction. This role requires strong judgment and decision-making skills to manage complex fiscal administration and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes. The Senior Procurement Analyst will oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring alignment with the OTPS budget and division needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and contract with suppliers for goods and services.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet organizational needs.
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
- Monitor and control procurement spending.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement documentation
Qualifications Required:
- 5 years of procurement experience.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- Knowledge of New York City Procurement Policy Board (PPB) Rules, local laws, New York State and Federal regulations, and the City Charter
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
