What are the responsibilities and job description for the AH64D Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator (Aviation) position at SPS?
This position is contingent and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is also required. The position may be located CONUS or OCONUS.
Job Title: AH64D Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator
- The AH64D Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator (Aviation) is a flying position. The Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator trains and mentors MTPs, performs other maintenance tasks during MTP Progressions, and evaluates Maintenance Pilots.
- Trains and advises on all aspects of AH-64D maintenance and logistics.
- The Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator shall be knowledgeable enough of the subject matter to answer student questions without referring to the instructor manual.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to the company's AS9100 policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Minimum Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Qualified on the AH-64 Series Aircraft.
- Must be previously qualified as an AH-64D Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator.
- FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instructor Pilot Certificate (CFI) or equivalent (GACA) preferred.
- FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Instructor Pilot Certificate (CFII) or equivalent (GACA) is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Minimum of 1000 total flight hours in the AH-64 series aircraft and total of 1500 rotary wing hours required.
- Minimum of 300 Maintenance Test Pilot flight hours in the AH-64D/E aircraft required.
- Minimum of 150 Night Vision Goggle (NVG) flight hours required.
- Minimum of 500 Night Vision System (NVS) flight hours required.
- Must have flown an AH-64D or E within 180 days.
- 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Test Pilot.
- Preferred experience teaching MTP course at USAACE.
- Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) within the last 4 years preferred.
Required Skills:
- Must possess and maintain a FAA Class II flight physical or GACA equivalent.
- Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.
- Ability to communicate, in English, both orally and written.
- Ability to effectively work in coordination with staff and team members.
- Ability to professionally communicate with the customer, on the company’s behalf.
