Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant with 2-3 years of experience to manage financial reporting, fixed assets, and project tracking, while assisting with budget and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and assist in month-end and year-end closes.
• Track and manage fixed assets, ensuring accurate reporting of acquisitions, depreciation, and disposals.
• Monitor project budgets and expenses, providing financial insights to ensure alignment with budget expectations.
• Prepare budget vs actual reports, analyze variances, and provide management insights.
• Provide support in the preparation of monthly reporting to parent company (Grimme)
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial issues and improve processes.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
• Oversee A/R and A/P bookings for our sister company in Canada, ensuring accurate and timely financial entries, and manage intercompany reconciliation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with fixed asset management and project tracking.
• Experience in accounting software (Infor Syteline preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
