Job Title: CNC Machinist Trainer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Trainer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing the skills of our employees. The ideal candidate will be an expert in operating a wide range of CNC machines and possess the ability to teach others how to effectively and efficiently produce high-quality parts for production. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC programming, machine operation, and troubleshooting to ensure our machinists are well-equipped to handle complex tasks and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Development and Delivery:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing machinists, focusing on CNC machine operation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Create instructional materials, including manuals, training guides, and visual aids to support training sessions.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback and guidance to ensure proficiency in machine operation and part production.
- Programming and Coding:
- Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using various programming languages.
- Teach trainees how to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to generate accurate machine codes.
- Guide employees in using software for program creation, simulation, and debugging.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine performance, including mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
- Instruct trainees on routine maintenance procedures and preventative measures to ensure machine longevity and performance.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement practices to enhance machine reliability and part quality.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all training and machine operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and addressing any hazards promptly.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in CNC technology and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of new training techniques and programs to improve machinist skill levels and production efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist with expertise in operating and programming a diverse range of CNC machines.
- Proven experience in training or mentoring machinists or technical staff.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAD/CAM software.
- Proficiency in setting up, running, and troubleshooting various CNC machines
- Educational Requirements:
- Technical degree or certification in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CNC Programming, Precision Machining) are a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a patient, supportive approach to training and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing needs and technologies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment or parts as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
