Job Title: MIG Welder Intern
Location: Blackfoot, ID
Job Type: Full Time, Day Shift
Interns must be willing to work full time and have previous experience welding. Preferred candidates are currently in a related field of study.
Job Summary: Spudnik equipment company is seeking MIG Welder Interns with interest in pursuing welding, manufacturing engineering, and other manufacturing/fabricating roles as a career. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. You will work on various projects, contributing to the production components for agricultural equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on steel materials to fabricate and assemble components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment for optimal performance and efficiency.
- Inspect welded components for quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and repair any welding defects or issues as they arise.
- Participate in training and development to enhance welding skills and knowledge of stainless-steel properties.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder. A weld test will be required as part of the interviewing
- In a related field of study preferred
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Willingness to work in varying environments and conditions.
