Job Title: MIG Welder (Stainless Steel)
Location: Blackfoot, ID
Job Type: Full Time, Day Shift
Job Summary: Spudnik equipment company is seeking a skilled MIG Welder with expertise in stainless steel fabrication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. You will work on various projects, contributing to the production of stainless-steel components for trailers and agricultural equipment.
90% or more of the time will be working with stainless steel. There will be times based on production needs that the employee helps on other production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on stainless steel materials to fabricate and assemble components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment for optimal performance and efficiency.
- Inspect welded components for quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and repair any welding defects or issues as they arise.
- Participate in training and development to enhance welding skills and knowledge of stainless-steel properties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred.
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder, specifically with stainless steel.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification and/or in MIG welding (e.g., AWS) is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Willingness to work in varying environments and conditions.
