Ongoing PE Aide

Spur Staffing and Albertville City Schools are looking for a PE Aide that assists the Physical Education teacher in planning, organizing, and implementing physical education activities for students. This role involves supervising students, setting up equipment, demonstrating exercises, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all participants. Pay for this position is $15.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the PE teacher in preparing and conducting physical education lessons.
• Supervise and support students during activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Set up and store sports equipment and materials before and after classes.
• Demonstrate exercises, drills, and proper techniques under the direction of the PE teacher.
• Encourage student participation and help modify activities for different skill levels.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce class rules in accordance with school policies.
• Provide first aid and respond to minor injuries when necessary.
• Support students with special needs or accommodations as directed.
• Assist with attendance, grading, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Help organize school sports events, field days, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional coursework or an associate’s degree).
• Experience working with children in a school, coaching, or recreational setting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of sports, fitness, and physical education principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physical ability to actively participate in exercises and sports activities.

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor school settings.
• Requires physical activity, including lifting, running, and demonstrating sports techniques.
• May involve exposure to various weather conditions.
