Spur, a digital staffing agency, seeks hard-working and punctual Paraprofessionals for Alliance for Progress Charter School.
The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the school and Spur. This position's primary responsibilities are to support classroom instruction through supervision and leading activities. This role requires working with students with learning and emotional needs. You must be able to review IEPs, progress reports, and behavior plans and then apply best practices for students with specific needs. You must also collect the students’ progress and monitor data based on their IEP goals.
Duties expected of this position are :
Assisting in the preparation of instructional materials and physical environment.
Assisting in planning and preparation for group and individual activities.
Supervising students as assigned during instructional and non-instructional activities.
Providing individual and group instructional support to reinforce skills.
Providing enrichment and remedial assistance as required.
Assisting with testing and evaluation to determine student progress.
Participating in activities that will develop positive interaction in the instructional process.
Performing other related tasks.
Friendly and approachable attitude.
Prior related experience working with children.
Punctual and professional.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Able to lift heavy objects to 65 lbs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check ($25.00)
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting
Compensation
This position pays $15.00 / hour based on experience
Job Hours : 8 : 00 - 2 : 30 Monday - Friday when school is in session. (Hours vary per location)
