Role Summary:
The Project Manager II will oversee the execution of projects from order intake to closeout, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and adherence to quality standards. This role requires strong project ownership, effective communication, and the ability to monitor and protect project margins through cost oversight and variance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Leadership
- Engage in the proposal phase to assess project feasibility and requirements
- Establish and lead cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress
- Manage contract execution, ensuring compliance and coordination among all stakeholders
- Finance and Risk Management
- Maintain project margin targets, forecast revenues, and develop payment schedules
- Oversee change orders, claims management, and risk mitigation strategies
- Track material costing and verify as-sold margins for accuracy
- Communication Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, consortium partners, and key suppliers
- Facilitate communication between engineering, construction, and supply chain teams
- Schedule and lead project meetings while ensuring proper document control
- Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Identify and support process improvement to enhance efficiency
- Conduct Lessons Learned reviews to apply insights to future projects
