Spyderco, Inc., a conservative, established and growing manufacturing company committed to superior sporting, tactical and culinary knives and accessories, is looking for an Executive Assistant to join our Research and Development team. We are looking for a full-time, long-term applicant that is looking for a career in manufacturing. The applicant will be responsible for using hands to buff, polish, de-burr and sharpen stainless steel parts using grinding wheels and belt sanders.
Monday - Friday 7:00 Am – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $20-21/hour (Experience, skills, and knowledge will be taken into consideration and adjusted accordingly)
Essential Functions
Safety conscious
Meticulous attention to detail and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Quality Oriented
Takes pride in high quality workmanship
Reliable attendance
Ability to adhere to written and oral instructions
Ability to adapt and embrace new methods
Ability to grip objects repetitively while standing for entire shift in an industrial environment
Persistent
High level of hand-eye coordination
Additional Responsibilities
Make adjustments on machines as needed for product specifications
Efficiently communicate with Supervisor to obtain necessary materials and supplies
Assist other departments as assigned
All other duties as assigned

Proficient organizational skills
Ability to read and understand technical manufacturing specifications
Basic math skills
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff
Comfort in handling sharp objects (knife blades and raw cut metal)
