What to expect:
You will be part of a global inspection team assuring quality of components and assemblies that this global aerospace leader is sourcing from one or more suppliers in this area. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client need and each supplier’s production schedule.
Location: Stuart, FL | Compensation: $29-$31/hr. | Schedule: 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm | Contract: 1 year| Full-Time | Local Only
Project Scope:
Final product verification to drawing requirements
ID & Damage
In-Process Inspection
Nonconformance Investigations
In-process and Final witness / inspection of machined parts
Inspects mechanical and sheet metal final assembly installations of the aircraft such as fuselage, wings, flaps, landing gears, and tail assemblies
Maintains necessary inspection logs and writes inspection reports
Duties & tasks are varied and moderately complex
Frequent contact with individuals representing other departments
Skills and Qualifications:
Level 2 Quality Inspector with mechanical and aircraft structure experience.
Some GD&T skills required
Aircraft structures and sheet metal experience required
A&P Mechanic with IA (Inspection authorization) would be considered
product inspection capability, understanding work instructions / travelers and process flow
Must reside within 50 miles of Stuart, Fl.
Inspection Scope
Structures build issues, holes/drilling, fasteners (gapped heads, length, loose, missing, missing nuts/collars), gaps/shims, surface seal, clamp up, build sequence, proper tool usage, torque, general workmanship, Fwd. Galley Door Bear Strap, Torque Operations/Values in IP (Planning), Skin Quality (Depressions, Dents, Fasteners), FOD, Sealant, Structures Workmanship, SRL Review/Processing, Part - Incorrect/Missing, Part/Structure Damage.
