What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner position at SQL data Solutions Inc?
QUALIFICATIONS:
“NP” must have the following minimum qualifications:
3.1 “NP” must hold a valid WV registered Nurse Practitioner License.
3.2 “NP” must know and abide by all Federal and State Long Term Care regulations.
3.3 “NP” must have at least three (3) years of Long-Term Care Experience.
3.4 “NP” must have and keep a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
“NP” must perform clinical evaluations and treatment programs.
“NP” must write medical history, programs for treatments, care, records, referrals,and discharges.
“NP” must review charts for quality, quantity, and progress notes for medicaldocumentation.
“NP” must prescribe orders for laboratory and diagnostic tests as needed.
“NP” must complete referrals for specialized medical services.
“NP” must make daily rounds to residents.
“NP” must collaborate with health care providers that include the Dietician and orDietary Manager concerning weight loss/gains and diet changes.
“NP” must collaborate with the Wound Care Nurse for treatment of Pressure,Diabetic, Vascular, and Arterial Ulcers.
“NP” must collaborate with the pharmacy consultant for medication management,and other health care providers that work in coordination to care for the residents.
“NP” normal work hours are from 8am to 4pm. The three (3) “NP” workdays perweek are to be determined by the Facility Administrator.
“NP” shall have WVState holidays off and Agency will not pay for time off.
“NP” must communicate with the attending Physician, Director of Nursing, and theAdministrator as needed
“NP” must communicate with families and residents about treatment and care.
“NP” must communicate with outside Health Care Providers and Medical Facilitiesin coordination with caring for the health of the residents.
“NP” must refer residents to the Physician or other Health Care Providers forspecialty care while maintaining the responsibility of the continuity of care for theresidents.
“NP” must be a member of the Agency’s Interdisciplinary Team which includesattending on-site meetings for falls and other care concerns as required.
“NP” must document in the progress notes, treatment, orders, and performassessments in the electronic medical records.
