Square Egg Entertainment is hiring a Director of Event Operations.
The Director of Event Operations is the first point of contact for service partners while planning and executing the event. Partners with other department Directors to ensure access to resources. Manages the operational and logistical side of the event. This position reports directly to the Event Director.
This position requires sourcing outside service partners, negotiating agreements, and managing the services onsite. A high level of organization and attention to detail is required. This person needs to be able to juggle multiple tasks concurrently and react quickly and confidently to ongoing change. They should possess superior communication and leadership skills to be an onsite role model to the team. Due to the nature of this industry, communication does happen 7 days a week and after normal business hours.
This is a seasonal, part-time position. Pay rate is $25/hour.
Most of the work can be done remotely but will require full availability on event days and occasional site visits. There might also be in-person meetings with various service partners. The ideal candidate for this position has previous operations and leadership experience within live events.
Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the Event Director to develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistics, to ensure all details are organized and executed effectively to maximize performance.
- Obtain pricing quotes for service partners and recommend which to contract with. This includes but is not limited to barricades, fencing, first aid, security, generators, maintenance, trash, water, and decorator.
- Submit event permit applications as needed.
- Hire, train, and supervise Operations team members.
- Update products within the ticketing platform and report sales data to the leadership team.
- Coordinate event logistics with other Departments, including setup, teardown, transportation, and staffing, to ensure smooth operations on event days.
- Assist Event Director, CEO, VPs, and other department Directors in creating and maintaining event policies.
- Remain in constant communication with other departments to ensure they are receiving information, services, and supplies in a timely manner.
- Supervise vendor team and assist with reviewing vendor applications, assigning placement, and managing onsite.
- Participate in monthly virtual meetings with the Leadership team, and virtual department meetings as needed.
Requirements:

- Maintain a level of calm even during high stress and high-pressure situations.
- Strong leadership skills and an overall team player attitude.
- Familiarity with Google Suite.
