Our programs include early education and care, and out of school time care for elementary school age children.
Our parent education, support and training programs are offered through groups, home visitation and personalized case management to help parents access whatever services are needed to be successful in their role as their child’s first teacher.
We are currently looking for a HR Coordinator interested in joining our team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a combination of human resources experience and associate’s degree
- Two to Five years of HR experience
- Computer proficiency skills in MS office suite.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels.
Description of Duties:
The HR Coordinator will recruit, screen and select candidates for nonexempt and exempt positions throughout the agency. This role administers employee health and welfare plans, and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems, and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resource Coordinator makes certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations, and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
- Onboard new hires by organizing new employee orientations, coordinating equipment, and completing necessary documentation.
- Conduct background checks, tracks renewals, and processes reimbursements.
- Complete and verify Forms I-9, maintain accurate I-9 files, and ensure compliance.
- Manage employee terminations and conduct exit interviews.
- Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Enroll new employees in company benefits and process benefit terminations.
- Assists with the Open Enrollment.
- Complete employment verifications and MassHealth Premium reviews.
- Prepare offer letters and handle employee changes.
- Completes Employee Status Changes (ESC) to assist with payroll processing.
- Collect necessary documentation from prospective interns, volunteers, Learn and Earn and YouthWorks participants.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to enter and manage employee data, including benefits and timekeeping.
- Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Make photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and perform other clerical functions.
- File documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assist or prepare correspondence as requested.
- Maintain a database of job candidates.
- Prepare new-employee files.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
