Groundskeeper/Maintenance

Overview
A Groundskeeper/Maintenance responsibility is to perform a variety of landscaping and outdoor maintenance activities, such as mowing, trash clean-up and removal, snow removal, cleaning common areas in buildings and site maintenance. This role ensures that all outside areas, including sites and communal areas, are well maintained and kept.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the grounds daily as necessary. Includes picking up all visible trash from the front entrance and around the entire property/grounds and cleaning of buildings.
• Maintain designated areas of the property.
• This includes activities such as site cleaning, lawn maintenance and care, trash pickup and removal.
• Operates small handheld manual or power equipment for basic lawn care, such as weedwhackers and hedge trimmers. May also use larger equipment, such as riding mowers. Snow blowers are a must.
• Maintain flower beds and other trimmed landscaping.
• Keeps work areas and storage areas well maintained and clean.
• May complete basic housekeeping as requested.
• Snow removal as needed which includes de-icing walks
• Provide manual labor to support the complex including basic carpentry, painting, and cleaning at times.

• Works cohesively with maintenance, and other departments to exceed tenant expectations and achieve company and departmental goals.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Provides regular and reliable attendance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75-100 pounds (with the assistance of a team lift or hand tool).

The groundskeeper environment is fast-paced, and at times, you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as you would with your normal job duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
