The Role:We’re hiring a Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team. You’ll be involved in all stages of production—from batching and bottling to gummy molding, packaging, and sanitation. This is a hands-on role in a small team, perfect for someone who values precision, takes pride in their work, and doesn’t mind getting their hands a little sticky.
What You’ll Do:
- Support daily production of cannabis-infused beverages and gummies
- Accurately measure and mix ingredients per SOPs and recipes
- Operate bottling, packaging, and gummy equipment with care and attention to detail
- Label, box, and prep products for distribution
- Maintain a clean and organized production space—end-of-day cleaning included
- Log production data (batch numbers, lot tracking, ingredient usage) for compliance
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and cannabis manufacturing regulations
- Collaborate closely with our Head of Production and rest of the team
- Help with deliveries and distribution as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in food or beverage production is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable with physical work: lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow procedures consistently
- Positive attitude, team-first mindset, and good communication skills
- Must be 21 and eligible to work in the cannabis industry in accordance with local laws
- Must be local to Portland, Maine
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Willingness to wear PPE (hairnets, gloves, etc.) and maintain hygiene standards
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Familiarity with cannabis product manufacturing
- Background in kitchens, breweries, or regulated food facilities
- Understanding of GMP or HACCP principles
