About the role:

We are looking for a people-first leader who is also business-minded; someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and sees it as an opportunity for proactive ownership. This is not a “keep the lights on” role. We’re seeking a true HR business partner who’s eager to drive strategy, build high-performing teams, and scale processes that support growth and transformation. Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead and manage the Human Resources department, including HR staff and consultants as needed.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with overall business goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on all human capital matters.
Employee Relations & Culture
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Lead efforts around employee engagement, satisfaction surveys, and action planning.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Design, evaluate, and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure total rewards practices are equitable and aligned with market data and internal equity.
  • Partner with Finance to manage salary planning and budgeting processes.
Performance Management & Development
  • Oversee performance review cycles, goal setting, and continuous feedback systems.
  • Drive initiatives related to leadership development, succession planning, and training.
  • Identify skills gaps and recommend targeted development programs to build organizational capability.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead investigations and manage risk related to HR practices, including workplace safety and harassment claims.
HR Systems & Reporting
  • Oversee HRIS systems (ADP), ensuring data integrity and usability.
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics to guide decision-making and support organizational goals.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
  • Oversee recruitment strategies to attract top talent at all levels of the organization for both experienced and campus hiring.
  • Maintain and continuously improve onboarding and retention programs that support long-term employee engagement.
  • Manage Recruiting Budget
Learning & Development
  • Oversee L&D initiatives
  • Build a culture of continuous learning that helps us retain and grow top talent
Cross Office Engagement
  • Be present and accessible across both Orem and Salt Lake City offices. This role requires occasional travel between the two to ensure alignment and connectivity.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree and/or SHRM certification preferred).
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Experience working in a professional services firm (i.e. Accounting, Legal, etc) is preferred
  • Certifications: SHRM-CP/SCP preferred
  • Proven experience leading cultural change and implementing scalable HR strategies and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust and influence across all levels.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (ADP) and data analysis tools.
Job Status: Full Time/Salaried

Work Location: Salt Lake City or Orem

Work Arrangements: Majority in-office
