Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC) is seeking an Outreach and Enrollment Supervisor to oversee the Outreach and Enrollment Coordinators and facilitate the enrollment of eligible patients and residents into affordable health insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplaces, Medicaid, and CHIP. The role also involves connecting patients to SHHC’s Sliding Scale Application when appropriate and coordinating outreach and enrollment activities to maximize resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assign tasks to Outreach and Enrollment Coordinators.
- Manage timecards, time off requests, and assist with recruiting new staff.
- Participate in and excel in all required training.
- Assist consumers with the application process for Medicaid, CHIP, and Marketplace plans.
- Create and implement workflows for new hires and existing staff.
- Assist with progress reviews and disciplinary conversations.
- Explain and manage SHHC’s Sliding Scale Application process.
- Expand patient education around the Sliding Scale Application and other areas.
- Ensure patients are connected to all eligible insurance/Sliding Scale options.
- Maintain expertise in eligibility and enrollment rules, health plan options, and privacy standards.
- Conduct internal training and public education activities.
- Provide fair, accurate, and culturally appropriate information and assistance.
- Provide referrals for consumer grievances and complaints.
- Complete all required federal and state consumer assistance training.
- Conduct outreach to uninsured patients and the general community.
- Coordinate outreach and enrollment activities with community groups and other health centers.
- Collect data for internal and external reports
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong professional and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in complex situations.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Familiarity with FQHC concepts.
- Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
- All CDC recommended immunizations, including updated COVID-19 vaccines
- 1-3 years of experience working with underserved and vulnerable populations preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of eligibility and enrollment rules, health plan options, and privacy standards.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to complete required consumer assistance training.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and ability to travel.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
- Fluency in Nepali and/or Spanish preferred
