What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Bakery Manager position at Squirrel Hill?
Established bakery is hiring a Retail Manager who is dedicated to the customer experience, who will motivate his or her team to work their best and preserve a friendly working environment, solve problems quickly, create solutions for issues that may arise and communicate effectively, be organized and lead by example.
Qualifications include prior experience as a supervisor or manager in a restaurant or bakery environment. Ability to work full time and work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, days before holidays. Requires overseeing two locations within a 10 mile radius.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing staff schedules based on weekly and monthly demand that optimizes labor and costs, hiring, training and team building. Manage inventory ordering, purchasing and supply management. Maintain store safety, sanitation and proper food storage policies. Be able to stand for long hours and lift trays of baked goods. Create a work flow that maximizes productivity and minimizes waste.
Pay based upon experience.
A PA Drivers License and ServSafe Certification are required.
