Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with estimating software
- Experience with residential renovation and repair projects

- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as materials and labor expenses
- Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor required and other factors
- Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors on estimates
- Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues
- Use computer software to calculate estimates
- Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability
- Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
- Work with other team members to prepare the estimates and bids for clients
- Develop project plans for the duration of the project
- Present proposals to customers in an effort to sell the project
