POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is for a Customer Help Desk Technician with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), located in Phoenix, AZ. It's a 6 month contract until 06/30/2025, with potential for permanent placement after background checks and a polygraph exam. The role involves providing technical support and customer service, resolving issues with web-based portals, accounts, and technical problems like login issues and system errors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues.
- Provide timely support via phone, email, or chat.
- Diagnose and resolve common hardware/software problems.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support.
- Maintain a knowledge base for troubleshooting and process documentation.
- Monitor system performance and inform users of issues.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of computer systems, networks, and helpdesk procedures.
- Experience with remote desktop tools and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in a help desk or computer support role.
- Ability to work in high-stress situations and follow detailed instructions.
