POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The City of Columbus, Department of Technology, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is seeking a project coordinator to assist with the rollout of a citywide strategic roadmap initiative. The mayor s office is leading the initiative and will provide direction to the project coordinator.
- The initiative is being managed using a waterfall schedule, which is then used to feed two-week sprints for multiple work groups. The initiative is being managed using Smartsheets. This position will support the leadership team by managing the initiative schedule, preparing sprint cycles, managing the control log (risk/issues, action items, decisions, and questions), scheduling meetings with the support of executive secretaries, and general assistance for the initiative leadership team.
- The project coordinator will work closely with the project manager, initiative leadership, change network strategist, and the EPMO.
- We are seeking an experienced project coordinator who can help the team organize the project deliverables using Smartsheets. The successful candidate must have experience managing a schedule in Smartsheets, monitoring and adjusting the schedule to changing needs. They need to monitor the control log (risk/issues, action items, decisions, and questions) watching for new information and reporting out outstanding items. Finally, they will assist the team in scheduling the bi-weekly sprint cycles.
- The EPMO and the strategic roadmap team have already established Smartsheet workspace for the initiative with a schedule, dashboards, forms,and sheets. This position will be expected to maintain these and expand where necessary.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 years of experience in Smartsheet administration
- Experience with schedule management and risk/issue management based on PMBOK
- Strong executive-level communication skills
- Proficiency in Outlook for meeting scheduling
