Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Atlassian Jira Administrator to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and customization of Atlassian environment to support our project management processes for our employees and enhance team productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Atlassian products including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and other tools as required.
- Configure and customize Jira workflows, schemes, automations, and permissions to meet the needs of various teams.
- Integrate Jira with other tools and systems to streamline processes and data flow.
- Provide technical support and training to users on Jira functionalities and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with variety of engineering teams as well as project management teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Manage and maintain Jira add-ons and plugins.
- Stay updated with new features and best practices in Jira administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Jira administration, workflows, automations, and permissions.
- In-depth knowledge of JQL, Board management, and Dashboard configurations.
- Experience with integrating Jira with other systems and tools.
- Familiarity with scripting with REST API to automate processes against Atlassian products.
- Understanding of security principles and experience of Role-based Access Control with Atlassian products.
- Project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from inception to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with other Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira Product Discovery.
- Atlassian certification Jira Administration for Cloud is a plus.
- Understanding of project management with Agile mindset.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, SOC2, SOX, FedRAMP).
