Executive Vice President for Research & Innovation Overview Executive Vice President for Research & InnovationThe University of Louisville (UofL) is seeking an accomplished, visionary, and transformational leader to serve as the next Executive Vice President for Research & Innovation (EVPRI). Reporting to President Kim Schatzel, the EVPRI works collaboratively with the Executive Vice President and University Provost and the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs in aligning research with UofL’s overall academic mission as a Carnegie R1, community engaged university.As a state-supported research university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), UofL has an enrollment of over 23,000 students and offers a variety of academic programs through 12 colleges and schools. The EVPRI is responsible for developing institutional research policies and procedures, coordinating and providing oversight of research, scholarship, and creative activity, and defining emerging research opportunities.The EVPRI will lead the university in achieving the goals of its research and economic development agenda, including promoting interdisciplinary research, integrating research and education, ensuring the integrity of research processes, and establishing collaborative research partnerships.
