Construction Superintendent/Assist. Project Manager
Residential and light commercial
Location: Charlotte Metro, NC (no remote work)
SRB-Design Build Corp has built high quality custom homes and remodels in the Charlotte Metro and Upstate SC area for over a decade. We have multiple projects in the pipeline and are looking for highly motivated individuals who have the ability and desire to grow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED. Further education in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 plus years of residential and light commercial experience.
- Strong communications and organizational skills and should be able to manage multiple projects.
- The ability to manage budgets, manage profitability, and generate future work.
- The ability to foresee and resolve problems that arise is a key skill.
- The ability to wear multiple hats for project management.
- Proficient in MS Office and use of computers and tablets.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively via email and verbally. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Needs to possess the skills necessary to build and maintain strong teams.
- Should be willing to travel to multiple job sites.
- Ability to read and interpret structural, and architectural drawings.
- Should be able to create and maintain construction schedules and maintain Quality Control checklists and processes.
- Should have excellent time management skills and be punctual.
Responsibilities
- Solicit and review sub-contractor proposals and take-offs. Assist with project estimating and contracts.
- Maintain daily reports.
- Create, maintain, and follow the construction schedule.
- May need to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the job site.
- Weekly Subcontractor meetings as required.
- Maintain job site safety – Inspections and strictly adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols
- Maintain a project “two weeks look ahead” plan that is both reviews with the project team as well as each Subcontractor
- Required to maintain quality in every aspect of the projects.
- Create and monitor punch list items with sub contractors
- Strong Inventory controls.
- Handy enough to tackle small fixes as needed.
