What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Utility Coordinator position at SRD Engineers?
SRD Engineers is currently seeking an experienced Utility Coordinator to assist with operations on projects throughout Central Florida . The Utility Coordinator works closely with the Engineer of Record in the development of utility documents and acts as the liaison between the Engineer of Record and utility companies.. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing liaison with and coordinating activities between the client, utility companies, and other entities. This position requires a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, willingness to learn and ability to train and mentor others. Qualified candidates must be able to work in a high demand environment on projects throughout the state, coordinating daily with management.

Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing agreements, plans, and specifications submitted by the utility company.
- Implement and Interpret policies and procedures as they relate to utility adjustments, relocations, negations, reimbursements, and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Identify potential utility conflicts by reviewing plans.
- Monitor utility work schedules to ensure timeliness of deliverables.
- Resolve utility/ roadway conflicts through coordination with the Engineer of Record and UAO's
- Prepare, process, and maintain documents, references, and/or resource materials.
Requirements are:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 4 years of prior practical experience performing utility coordination for transportation projects according to established state and federal standards, policies, procedures and design criteria.
- Strong knowledge of FDOT utility coordination practices and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Public relations experience for maintaining effective working relationships with individuals
- Ability to communicate technical and complex information and multi-task.
Should have basic computer skills and be able to learn and understand new software.
Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
