A well-established underground utilities construction company in Lakeland, FL is looking to hire a Utility Pipe Coordinator. This role is primarily responsible for supervising the layout, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of drainpipes, ensuring projects are completed safely and to the highest standard.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the various types of tools, equipment, pipes, and fittings that are used in construction.

What You’ll Be Doing
Supervises a team of 2-5 pipefitters, or larger group of workers depending on the size of the projectPerforms daily inspections of the job sites to ensure a safe working environmentConducts tests and inspections on water pressure and sewer systems to ensure they meet standardsOperates various pieces of equipment as needed to excavate, install and backfill structures with a pipeUtilizes a laser level and figures grades to level out projects properlyCommunicates with clients and vendors regarding projects and deadlinesCoordinates tasks according to priorities and plansInstalls gravity storm and sewer systems, shoots line, and gradesReads and understands blueprints and other technical drawingsReviews and approves employee time reportingWho We’re Looking For
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving recordProven experience in the underground utility sectorProven experience as a foreman and the ability to supervise a crewKnowledge of a Laser Beam and how to use it properly or surveyingExperience working with sub-contractorsThink and engage as a part of the teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAccurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsAttention to detailWhat You Can Expect
25.00 - $28.00 / hr, depending on experienceSchedule of Monday – Friday, 6 : 30am – 5 : 00pm, with early release on FridayCompany vehicle providedUniforms providedMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid holidaysStaffBuildersHR offers weekly pay plus a benefits package after your temporary period.
