POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Build capability across regions that will provide field information from customers to different capabilities. Coordinate part analysis and data acquisition, as well as internal and external reviews of field claims. Drive Root Cause Analysis through problem-solving methodologies to improve reliability of product. Manages and supervises small group of professional employees. Has accountability for the performance results of the team within own discipline or function. Adapts plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem solving guided by principled based frameworks and business plan. Provides technical guidance to professional team, colleagues, and or customers. Identifies and analyzes potential sources of loss to minimize risk. Estimates the potential financial consequences of an occurring loss. Develops plans to minimize risk and financials consequences. Assesses and communicates information regarding business risk (s) with stakeholders across the organization. Deploys Team resources to plants and coordinate execution of action plans for risk reduction & financial consequences. Build capability in professional Team to maximize induvial contribution. Analyze customer warranty for responsibility, reason, cost, and resolution. Work with SRG Global Plants on corrective actions of top field failures and track to completion. Attend customer warranty meetings as required. Analyze cost of quality for reason and resolution. Work with SRG Global Teams to define actions that reduce CoQ and track to completion. Monitor Impact of defined actions to P&L. This role supervises 2 Warranty Engineers and 1 Cost of Quality Engineer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Employer requires a Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of work experience in a Quality, Warranty, or Risk Management role.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- Problem Solving using 5-WHY, fishbone diagrams, and 8D Methodologies;
- Analyzing financial impacts/opportunities to improve cost of quality; and
- Risk assessment and risk mitigation.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Up to 30% Domestic and International travel required.
