We're seeking an experienced Landscape Superintendent to oversee landscape installation projects on the new construction side. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape installation, leadership, and management.
Job Description:
The Landscape Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating field staffing, studying project plans, attending pre-job walks, and verifying correct installation. The ideal candidate will have experience with OSHA regulations, LDI safety policies, and commercial landscape construction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate field staffing and recruitment
- Study project plans and attend pre-job walks
- Verify correct installation and adherence to plans and specifications
- Complete written documentation of extras and approved paperwork
- Monitor job cost reports and correct errors
- Complete projects on time and under budget
- Establish positive relationships with clients and LDI management
- Implement company policies, systems, and procedures
- Oversee equipment and tool use in the field
- Train and evaluate assigned Foremen
- Ensure compliance with LDI safety policies and OSHA regulations
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in landscape installation, specifically on the new construction side
- Some college coursework completed
- Experience with commercial landscape construction
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and LDI safety policies
- Leadership and management experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
