Must have landscape experience- specifically landscape installation experience - on the new construction side. (Not Maintenance)
GENERAL DUTIES :
Coordinates field staffing for all projects including recruitment, selection, and hiring activities.
Studies and understands plans for each project under construction.
Attends all pre-job walks and multi-weekly visits to each job site.
Verifies correct installation and adherence to the plans and specifications at each project.
Completes timely and accurate written documentation of extras and collection of all approved paperwork.
Monitors job cost reports weekly, and proactively corrects errors in accounting practices, purchasing issues, and or management of labor time.
Completes projects on time and under budget.
Establishes positive relationships and maintains ongoing communication with clients and LDI management / departments.
LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT :
Implements and exceeds current company policy, systems and procedures of all Field Operations, Safety, Quality Control, and Technical Training Programs.
Adheres to and embraces LDI’s company doctrine, values and mission statement and also ensure his / her direct reports do the same.
Oversees proper and efficient use of equipment and tools in the field.
Conducts bi-weekly Foreman meetings.
Trains and evaluates assigned Foremen.
Ensures that all new employees are trained on proper LDI policies and procedures, company culture, and proper project management practices.
Conducts all transactions in compliance with all LDI company policies, procedures, standards and practices.
SAFETY :
Ensures that all LDI safety policies and OSHA regulations are met, and high levels of productivity and quality are performed at all times.
Immediately reports any employee injuries to Human Resources and / or Safety Officer.
Enforcement of all field employees to wear appropriate uniform and PPE’s for job functions.
SKILLS / ABILITIES – ABILITY TO :
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings, as required.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow construction plans.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions and to complete work assignments correctly.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other employees.
