Description:
As the Manager of the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit, you will be responsible for the daily operations, clinical management, and patient care delivery within the department. You will lead and mentor a team of nursing professionals, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of care, and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of patient care and documentation.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and function effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Utilize strong computer skills for documentation, data analysis, and reporting.
- Apply a solid understanding of English, grammar, and punctuation in all communications.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, BSA, circumference, and volume.
- Demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Manage the daily operations of the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit, including staff supervision, patient flow, and resource allocation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of nursing professionals, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered work environment.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate unit performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, and other resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective unit operations.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission standards.
Minimum Mandatory Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current California RN license.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Basic EKG/tele interpretation experience or completion of a Basic EKG class within six months of employment.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field.
- Two (2) years of recent department-specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field.
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience in a department-specific setting.
- National Certification in a relevant specialty.

Pay: $126,609.00 - $183,580.00 per year
