Laborer

This role is responsible for performing work within various areas of the Block Plant. This position's primary responsibility n addition, the position will follow all safety and plant rules while working as a member of the team. Key Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Keep block production area clean. Keep yard and area around facilities clean of garbage and debris. Keep dispatch offices clean, (garbage, counters, lunch room, windows, floors, carpets). Ability to work on the cleaning of the concrete plants after each day deliveries or as needed. Shovel and clean around batch plants any gravel/sand that has accumulated. Wash off the concrete slab daily. (during summer months) Perform all duties assigned by production manager. Clean various pieces of equipment Education and /or Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Quality Requirements: Comply with Company’s quality statement and objectives. Report any issues affecting quality to supervisor. Perform job duties in accordance with the laborer position. While performing the duties of this position the employee must be able to travel through the block plant to include walking over obstacles, climb stairs and ladders, lift heavy or awkward parts, wear personal protective equipment such as hardhat, safety glasses, fall protection, respirator, etc. In addition, the position is indoors/outdoors and will include exposure to extreme heat and cold weather conditions.
