What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Post Closer I position at SRP Federal Credit Union?

Hiring Range: Minimum $ 19.75 Mid$ 23.24 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the “member benefit-based approach”.
- Fully comply with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and OFAC Policies.
- Provide files for post funding control reviews, as required by secondary market guidelines, and as a compliant measure for detecting inconsistencies/deficiencies among loan files.
- Review closed loan files to ensure all closing and initial documents are present, correct and comply with Credit Union policies and meet all secondary, FHLB, and government guidelines, as applicable.
- Process, preparation and shipment of secondary market loans to investor for purchase/funding.
- Clear and upload all funding/post-closing conditions, in-house or mandated by Investor or FHLB, on a timeline to avoid cure fees charged.
- Process loans, once purchased, sending appropriate notifications to parties involved.
- Register, track, and transfer the servicing of investor loans in MERS.
- Work closely with attorneys and other mortgage personnel to resolve any post-closing issues.
- Able to track closed loan packages from attorneys, performing necessary tasks to aid in efficient and timely post-closing/shipping.
- Pay VA/FHA Fees, reconcile accounts, order VA Guaranty Certificates & FHA Insurance and submit FHA files to HOC for endorsement, all while ensuring that files meet all secondary and government guidelines.
- Ship loan documents to FHLB making sure all items comply with FHLB requirements.
- Ship loans to Mortgage Insurance Companies for MI Approval and Insurance/Quality Control.
- Track recorded mortgages and final title policies, forwarding to investors when required.
- May be assigned other tasks by appropriate line supervision.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook Email /Calendar, and Internet Explorer software. Experience with Encompass system preferred.
