Job Description: Vehicle Cybersecurity Systems Engineer
Location: Newark, CA (Open to Southfield, MI, and Seattle, WA) - Onsite

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate detailed requirements and architecture specifications for next-generation vehicle and infrastructure security solutions.
- Define success criteria and project/product priorities and establish executable roadmaps.
- Ensure complete requirements and architecture traceability and compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with verification and development engineers to establish product excellence, including internal and external teams such as suppliers and partners.
- Optimize software through design reviews and code reviews.
- Coordinate with teams across Supply Chain, Tier-1 suppliers, Vehicle Controls, Chassis, Safety, Battery, Infotainment, and UX to achieve project objectives within budget and schedule.
- Identify and resolve challenges by analyzing systems laterally and vertically, addressing gaps and contradictions.
- Communicate project vision, features, priorities, deliverables, and goals to stakeholders via program documentation, announcements, release notes, training sessions, and seminars.
- Author security-related RFPs, RFQs, and SoWs covering secure vehicle-to-infrastructure communications, secure ECU software/firmware updates, penetration testing, threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA), fleet data protection, and privacy aspects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 6 years of experience in technical architecture and product management related to network and information security, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Expertise in embedded security, including secure software and firmware updates, secure boot, secure storage, trusted execution environments, hardware security modules, and security hardware extensions.
- Experience in threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA) at the system and component levels.
- Proficiency in scalable public key infrastructure (PKI) deployments and management.
- Knowledge of vulnerabilities in vehicle connectivity interfaces and protocols (e.g., CAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, GNSS) and implementation of mitigation mechanisms and security enforcement.
- Experience with requirement management systems such as JAMA, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Master s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with emerging security standards/frameworks, including ISO/SAE 21434, UNCE WP.29 cybersecurity, and cybersecurity management systems regulations for connected vehicles.
- Knowledge and experience in Road Vehicle Fleet Security Operations, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
- Familiarity with V2X adoption and security enforcement.
- Experience in model-based systems design.
