Warehouse Shipping Associate

This role performs a variety of tasks including parts kitting, order picking, packaging orders for shipment, cycle counting inventory, receiving and stocking of materials. The person is responsible for achieving quality and safety standards, adhering to schedules, sustaining inventory accuracy, and maintaining work area cleanliness.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Picking products and staging them for shipment per sales orders.
• Packaging products and processing them for small package or LTL shipment.
• Picking and kitting hardware items to maintain inventory levels.
• Unpacking, labeling and storing incoming purchased materials.
• Cycle counting inventoried items per schedule to maintain accuracy.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Notifies supervisor immediately of any potential hazards.
• Documents daily inventory and shipping transaction records.
• Maintain work area cleanliness, stocked shelves organization, and discard used corrugated.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Capable of demonstrating a high level of accuracy, quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction, coordinate and communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to a schedule and be self-motivated.
• Ability to handle varying daily priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
• Ability to read instructions and calculate figures and amounts.
• Basic computer and keyboard skills.
• Capable of learning new skills and procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and operate material handling equipment.

Job Type:

• Full-time
• First shift (7:00am -3:30pm, Monday-Friday)
• Overtime available
• Pay range $16-$20/hour based on capability

Education/Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Previous transferable work experience is desired
