SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is looking for a Cost Engineer to provide on-site Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS). This role supports the Engineering and Design Division (D4) of the Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide independent and professional cost engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities.
Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering/architectural disciplines to ensure coordination and integration with project requirements.
Participate in planning, budgeting, designing, and construction of new construction, renovation, and improvement projects.
Utilize knowledge of engineering and architecture to evaluate cost estimates and contract change orders.
Qualifications include:
Certification as a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) desirable.
Minimum 5 years of professional cost engineering experience for new construction and renovation required.
Completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or architecture from an ABET or NAAB accredited program, supplemented by hands-on design experience.
Professional knowledge and skill in applying engineering/architectural theories, concepts, principles, and computer system applications relevant to construction activities.
Proficiency in cost engineering concepts, theories, practices, and techniques for shore-based engineering projects.
Familiarity with DoD and Navy cost engineering criteria and policy.
Knowledge of laws, codes, and statutory requirements affecting cost engineering design.
Understanding of related architectural and engineering fields and their impacts on cost engineering design.
Experience with Autodesk software, Microsoft Office products, and cost engineering software.
Ability to produce written analysis, consolidate findings, evaluate recommendations, and communicate effectively through oral presentations.
Proficiency in budgeting, planning, project management techniques, and team coordination.
Work Environment
Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
