Accounts Payable Specialist
State Systems, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to help keep office operations organized, efficient, and smooth. This individual must adhere to the company’s confidentiality rules and provide an accurate report of cash flow.

This position is full-time and requires attendance on-site at our Memphis office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.
· Accurately enters invoices to be paid into automated system.
· Processes checks requested as needed, including employee expense checks.
· Ensure that all items to be paid follow the approval guidelines.
· Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
· Prepares invoice deduction notices as necessary, as well as inputting vendor credits.
· Audits freight bills against freight manifest.
· Answers all vendor inquiries.
· Analyzes vendor accounts and makes recommendations as needed.
· Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
· Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
· Assists in monthly closings.
· Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
· Back-up for answering phones and greeting guests.
· Professional team player.
· Other duties may be assigned.

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other MS Office products as well experience with functions of accounting system software.

Wage: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on education, experience and certifications)
