What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Control Engineer position at SSi People?
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize extensive knowledge of legacy PLC and HMI platforms, process functionality, programming methods, and configurations.
- Implement new control templates independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Support capital projects in the Midland area.
- Manage multiple tasks independently and oversee large amounts of work through others, such as contractor support.
- Travel up to 50% domestically and be on call as required.
- Primarily support West Texas, with occasional support in Mont Belvieu.
Skills Required:
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or 10 years of controls-related experience.
- At least 5 years experience implementing process control and related systems in processing plants.
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards for documentation, basic regulatory and discreet control, loop tuning, safety systems, and PLC configuration.
- Ability to read and develop process, electrical, and instrumentation drawings, Cause and Effect Diagrams, specifications, and control narratives.
- Configuration experience in various HMI and PLC platforms along with function block and ladder logic programming.
- Working experience with Allen Bradley PLC is preferred. Knowledge of Honeywell Experion DCS, and Triconex Safety Systems configuration is a plus.
Salary : $110 - $115
