Job Description

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and design engineering deliverables on complex utility Distribution and Substation design projects.
- Lead and supervise the preparation of engineering deliverables for electric substation projects.
- Select and specify equipment and materials, and prepare cost estimates and bills of material.
- Design control buildings, including AC and DC panels, batteries, and chargers.
- Work on SCADA upgrades and additions.
- Handle assignments such as project work coordination, design recommendations, and problem-solving for electrical protection systems.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- PE License or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred (or desire to obtain).
- 2 years of industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of substation protection and control schemes, basic relay settings, and substation construction standards and methods.
- Desire to gain knowledge of Engineering Standards including NEC, API, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
- Ability to solve difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Must be able to work full-time in the office.
