About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will play a crucial part in helping our patients receive accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding, provide educational material, and position patients for radiology exams.
- Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines, preventing unnecessary radiation exposure to patients.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is properly functioning, report potential problems or equipment malfunctions, and maintain a clean and orderly department.
- Quality Control: Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring prompt submission and adherence to protocols.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
- Licensure: ARRT-R Radiography certification or equivalent required.
- Experience: No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
Work Environment:
- Shift Differentials: Evening shift with additional pay for working hours between 4 pm and 10 pm.
- Location: SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital 1201 Grand.
