As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in preoperative and postoperative care, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and competitive pay rates, emphasizing patient-centered care and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions and develop effective plans of care.
- Communicate with patients and families to ensure their understanding of treatment plans and expectations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as needed.
- Document care provided and patients' responses in a timely manner.
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to hospital policy.
- Apply evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
- No experience required.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in applicable state(s).
Work Environment:
This role is based in the Ambulatory Surgery department and requires standing, walking, and lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
