Job Summary: SSM Health seeks an experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to ensure the highest standards of environmental health and safety within our facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading collaborative efforts to achieve operational excellence in Environmental Health and Safety, Fire and Life Safety, Hazardous Materials and Waste, and Industrial Hygiene.
About This Role:
- Provides subject matter expertise to lead teams in achieving operational excellence in Environmental Health and Safety, Fire and Life Safety, Hazardous Materials and Waste, and Industrial Hygiene.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards such as NFPA, OSHA, DNR, EPA, CMS, and state regulatory agencies.
- Serves as internal auditor of compliance.
- Works independently or with others to collect, organize, and report data.
- Clients include senior management, emergency preparedness team members, infection control staff, risk management personnel, medical directors, quality improvement professionals, department heads, and other stakeholders.
