Responsibilities
A Typical Day Might Include :
- May act as the design lead, programming lead, or owner's representative on selected projects.
- May plan, organize, supervise, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project.
- Meets regularly with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
- Develop PLC architecture designs including Ethernet, ControlNet and Remote I / O.
- Development of contractor installation / construction packages including riser / conduit installation drawings, device location plans / elevations and specifications.
- Develop electrical controls schematics including low-voltage power distribution, PLC I / O drawings and 480V motor 1-line & 3-line schematics.
- Perform PLC / HMI Programming (mainly RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, PanelviewPlus RSView ME, Ignition, Wonderware).
- Provide on-site electrical system construction and commissioning support including device / hardware checkout and troubleshooting of PLC / HMI programs.
- Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
- Travel usually varies from 20% to 40% and may include international travel to Latin America or Canada
