Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager
Serve as primary point of contact for food safety inquiries.
Collaborate with senior operations management to foster a "food safety culture". Serve as liaison between local operations personnel and corporate team.
Review analysis and audits on food safety, operational assessments, sanitation inspections, and overall quality controls.
Proactively identify and address potential risks to ensure operational excellence.
Analyze data from annual Food Defense Assessment based on SSP America Checklist Inspection.
Develop and deliver frequent allergen and relevant food safety training initiatives.
Build strong communication cadence with internal and external stakeholders.
Draft Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans for production kitchens.
Conduct Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) reviews.
Perform environmental monitoring within the location.
Assist airport with annual 'mock recalls'.
Achieve innovative results in position responsibilities.
Requirements:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or related field required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance role within food service industry, with focus on restaurant operations. Experience in airport or hospitality industry preferred.
Certifications: Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and HACCP Certification, with experience writing HACCP plans.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP and PCQI principles.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
