Reporting to the Environmental Manager, this position will work with the Environmental team to support environmental compliance at the Marigold Mine.

Job Description
General Objectives:
Reporting to the Environmental Manager, this position will work with the Environmental team to support environmental compliance at the Marigold Mine.
Key Areas Of Responsibilities & Duties
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct surface water, ground water, soil, air quality and other environmental sampling
- Conduct environmental compliance inspections for materials management areas, waste & hazardous waste areas, chemical & petroleum storage areas, etc.
- Manage environmental database, water, waste, inspections, etc.
- Manage environmental documents and records
- Conduct environmental training
- Coordinate and oversee environmental contractors and consultants
- Prepare permit applications
- Prepare environmental compliance reports
- Liaison with stakeholders and government officials
- An undergraduate degree from a recognized university required, engineering degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the environmental/mining industry or equivalent required
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental regulatory programs such as CAA, CWA, RCRA
- Experience interacting with regulatory officials
- Proficiency in standard computer software applications required, experience in GIS type applications preferred
- Ability to work in unsupervised environment required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. required
- Proven safety and environmental performance required
- Experience presenting in front of groups preferred
- Valid Driver License
