Seeking a Senior Controls Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Ione, CA.

Salary is between $105,000 - $130,000 per year (based on experience)
The Senior Controls Specialist who will be responsible for electrical safety and training, serve as a key problem solver for the plant’s control systems, and act as a lead for other instrumentation and electrical personnel
Responsibilities:
- Manage records regarding all system software changes and communicate any change to affected employees.
- Perform analysis, detailed design (including documentation), capital request preparation, installation, start-up/checkout/debugging, and cost control of assigned projects.
- Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and equipment modification.
- Participate in process improvement efforts in support of plant goals.
- Monitor plant systems, analyze performance, and initiate action for optimization to achieve plant goals for safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
- Maintain all logic and PLC programs, install switches, and perform maintenance on the network as needed.
- Manage records regarding all system software changes and communicate any changes to affected employees.
- Manage contractors and maintenance staff during project installations.
- Create electrical training programs for electrical, instrument, and mechanical teams to stay abreast of federal, state and local regulations.
- Partner with plant management to develop the five-year capital planning and the annual electrical operating budget.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in an industrial continuous process atmosphere.
- 5 years of demonstrated process control experience in defining, designing, installing and maintaining control logic systems and equipment.
- Willingness to assume roles of team leader and team member when necessary.
- Advanced demonstrated communication skills.
