Description
The SACC Site Coordinator is responsible for the planning and overall operation of a high quality Afterschool program, including overseeing one before and/or after school site and providing leadership for additional sites as determined by Director. This position must demonstrate high quality member service to Afterschool program participants, families, members, and volunteers while promoting YMCA core values and encouraging lifelong learning.

CORE EXPECTATIONS:

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Planning and execution of Afterschool site and fulfill YMCA objectives and providing guidance to Site Coordinators as required and or needed. Responsible for maintaining compliance in all related areas including the Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) licensing procedures and promoting YUSA Healthy Eating Physical Activity (HEPA) standards. Provide reasonable accommodation to allow children with disabilities to participate in activities whenever possible and to meet each child’s individual needs according to EEC and ADA.

STAFF ENGAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
Supervision of program staff and participants and providing leadership to Site Coordinators in accordance with the organization's policies, EEC regulations, applicable laws, and QRIS Standards. Monitor and communicate with supervisor all staff related EEC, QRIS, and South Shore YMCA requirements.

MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
Building relationships with and among families and members, responding to inquiries and solving problems. Creates a supportive community environment, recruits and engages new families, and connects families to the YMCA’s cause.

FACILITY MANAGEMENT
Works with Afterschool Director, Site Coordinators, Group Leaders and Assistants to ensure that program facilities and equipment for children are safe, clean, adequately equipped, well maintained, and attractive.

VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT
Responsible for engaging and working with volunteers.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & SUPPORT
May assist in YMCA fund raising activities/events, and engages in collaborative relationships with community organizations in order to strengthen support and build community.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must meet EEC requirements: Minimum of one year experience working with school age children (without BA). Minimum of six months experience working with school age children (w/BA).Must be 21 years of age.

Knowledge and experience with EEC regulations and QRIS is preferred.

The ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with, staff, children & families, volunteers, school administrators are critical to this position.

Effective teaching skills, the ability to implement methods to address and follow up with family needs/concerns in a positive and professional way reflecting an attitude that values diversity.

Must meet EEC Educator PD requirements; PQ Registry to reflect all trainings. CPR and 1st Aid required and provided by the Y, Child Protection & Reporting and Employee Safety on line trainings upon hire.
Salary : $20 - $22
