Med / Tele RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center
PCU experience required
Must be able to read strips
Common diagnoses include cardiac conditions, pneumonia, sepsis, and acute on chronic conditions
Nurse to patient ratios : 1 : 4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, 1 : 3 for PCU level care overflow
Experience with titratable drips required
Charge nurse on each shift, occasionally takes a light load of 2-3 patients
RN's required to read and interpret their own strips
Shifts : 7a-7p, 7p-7a, rotating shifts not more than weekly
Weekend and holiday requirements : every other
Floating to all areas as needed
Job Requirements
Must have PCU experience
Experience with tele / cardiac nursing
Epic experience preferred
Ability to titrate drips
Must be able to read strips
Schedule Information
Shifts : 7a-7p, 7p-7a
Rotating shifts not more than weekly
Weekend requirements : every other
Holiday requirements : every other
2-12 hour shifts for unit / department specific orientation
Unit Specific Information
Common diagnosis / types of patients : adults and geriatrics, cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical with heart history
Additional Details
ACLS and BLS required
Profile review and manager interview required
Radius rule : 50 miles
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
