Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS TNCC Job Requirements Must have ER experience Must have certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Experience with a variety of patient types including Abdominal Pain, Stroke, Cardiac, Trauma, ENT, Respiratory, etc. Ability to perform in a Level 4 Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Hospital Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling : Rotating Shifts 7a-7p / 7p-7a / 8a-5p / 5p-5a Self-scheduling is allowed, block scheduling can be discussed Weekend Requirement : 2-3 weekends per 6-week schedule Holiday Requirements : Must be available if needed Floating Requirements : May be asked to float to MS / ICU or OB Unit Specific Information 9 Treatment Spaces 2 Overflow beds 2 Triage in ER Average of 50-60 patients / 24 hours Nurse : Patient Ratios 1 : 4-5 Do not have a dedicated Triage area; Bedside Triage when possible Traveler may perform triage ER holds are in main ER Charge Nurse on each shift, may take patients CNA / Techs assist with ADLs, stocking, cleaning rooms, EKGs RT in house 6a-6p, on call after hours Nurses review their own telemetry strips Orientation typically 2.5 days Dress Code : Black Additional Details No in-house security, Local PD utilized if needed Common drips include Insulin, Diltiazem, Propfol, Fentanyl, Heparin Physician coverage 24 / 7, Med Levels 12-hour shifts No separate Psych / seclusion rooms X-ray & CT available in the hospital Nurses may need to collect labs with IV starts or phlebotomy
